Help Shape the Future of the Arts in Sussex
Printers Playhouse Arts CIC is a vibrant creative hub in the heart of Eastbourne, supporting artists, makers, performers and the wider community through exhibitions, events, learning and collaboration. As we look to the future, we are seeking new volunteer Trustees to join our Board and help guide the next stage of our journey.
Celebrating 10 Years of Creativity – and Looking Forward
2025/26 marks the 10th anniversary of Printers Playhouse Arts.
Over the past decade, we’ve grown from a bold idea into a trusted, much‑loved creative space—supporting independent directors, writers, actors, artists, hosting hundreds of events, and opening our doors to thousands of people from the local community and beyond.
This milestone is not just a celebration of what we’ve achieved, but a moment to set our direction for the next ten years. As we reflect on our impact, we are also asking important questions about sustainability, reach, inclusion and ambition. New Trustees will play a key role in shaping that future and helping us build on strong foundations with fresh thinking, skills and energy.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome expressions of interest from people of all backgrounds and are particularly keen to hear from individuals who can bring skills such as:
Finance & accounting – budgeting, cashflow, funding oversight or financial governance
Legal & governance – charity/CIC regulation, contracts, HR or compliance
Marketing, communications & digital – brand, social media, PR, website or audience development
Fundraising & partnerships – grants, trusts & foundations, sponsorship or corporate relationships
Arts, culture & education – experience in the creative industries, community arts or learning
Property, facilities or project management – buildings, refurbishments, health & safety or operations
Business strategy & leadership – scaling organisations, change management or commercial insight
But we also need people who simply have drive and enthusiasm.
You don’t need previous trustee experience—just a commitment to our values, an interest in the arts, and a willingness to contribute your time and ideas.
