This 10 week course is designed to help you develop a personal creative project over the summer. You choose your own theme or intention—something as simple as exploring complementary colours or as ambitious as creating a visual campaign to raise awareness about sea pollution.

Each week, you'll receive doodle prompts and creative exercises to spark ideas and provide a starting point. These can be adapted and developed to suit your individual theme and interests.

You can work through a sketchbook page by page (A4 works well), or create pieces on separate sheets that can later be bound or collaged together. A concertina sketchbook, such as those available from Seawhites at Hobbycraft, can be a particularly fun format to explore.

By the end of the 10 weeks, you'll have created a unique, themed collection of work that reflects your own creative journey.

Everyone works at their own pace and on their own project. Skill levels and creative approaches vary widely, and all are welcome—from complete beginners to experienced artists.

You don't need to attend all 10 sessions, but the more you take part, the richer and more rewarding your sketchbook project is likely to become.
